The SSF Foundation has supported two of our key programs. Without the support of the SSF Foundation and other community members like them, we would not be able to provide these programs to public school students and teachers of Summit County. First, the SSF Foundation supports the Eileen Finkel Innovative Teaching Awards which provides teachers funding to implement innovative and creative projects including a poetry slam competition, drones for photography class, and interactive read-aloud electronic books. SSF Foundation supports another key program, Summit Books for Kids, which increases access to books for students who do not have the support or means to purchase them. This program helps these students develop into engaged and lifelong readers. We are so grateful for the SSF Foundation’s support—they are helping improve the education of every public school student in Summit County.

First, please understand that this is a Completely Unsolicited testimony for Stewart Voutour and Slifer Smith & Frampton. We listed our 4000 sq ft. home with another agency based on location, thinking logistically it would be a better fit for showings, general info etc. etc. After just short of a year, unnecessary problems, and several failed contracts, we kept asking ourselves, "why didn't we choose SSF again?". Having several transactions with them through the years, including the purchase of this house, we immediately called SSF, spoke with another agent (not Stewart), told him what we needed, and he said- "I know who you need, it's not me, and he'll call you today or tomorrow- thanks for calling". 30 minutes later Stewart called and "the rest" is history. To definitely summarize "the rest", Stewart persistently drove traffic to our house in any way he could. He knew and told us from the start he would sell this house- and decreasing the price was not the answer. He eloquently kept buyers thinking about our house, constantly pointing out its great features; weeks would pass and the same buyers would still be interested, still coming back to look.On two different occasions he showed our house to buyers already working with other agents- he could have easily pushed them back to their agent, not troubled himself, and made them wait to see it- but he didn't. Stewart was always about us, selling our house, getting people who wanted to see it in immediately, and most importantly, doing whatever it took (i.e. work). As closing approached, it was again Super Stewart who made things happen that we couldn't; we were never told "I'll get there when I can" as we were. You could easily say he's a one man team. Oh, did I mention after all these days (on the market), he finalized our deal amidst TWO buyers, driving the price higher!! We have had a business relationship with Lori Mitchell for almost 8 years. We first met them in July, 2006. We had seen some of her listings on-line and contacted her to help us purchase a vacation condo in Summit County. As most of us do, these days, we first looked on-line to find properties we were interested in and presented Lori with our list a few days prior to the date we were to look at listings. It was love at first sight! We quickly made an offer, it was accepted and we (and our adult children) enjoyed our mountain condo for the past 8 years. A few weeks ago, we decided it was time to list the condo as we wanted to purchase a place in warmer climates. Because Lori had stayed in touch with us since our initial meeting, we had no hesitation in calling her to help us list our property for sale. We felt Lori's experience and knowledge of the Summit County market was reason enough to list with her. But we also got the added benefit of some very smart business decisions she and her husband have made over the years in that they ran such a successful real estate business that larger companies felt it was a good financial risk for them to partner with the Mitchells and grow the business even more. This provided Lori with a larger arsenal of marketing tools and, of course, a larger budget with which to market. As we said, all this was a bonus as we already had full confidence in Lori's ability to market and sell our property. The day she listed our property, we received a good strong offer within six hours of it hitting the market. We accepted that offer and closed a little over three weeks later! It is important to note, even though we had an offer and essentially her job was done, Lori still went above and beyond to insure this deal closed. Once the inspection was done, there were a couple of small items that needed to be repaired. My husband and I started looking for a cabin in the mountains this spring and were referred to Theo by the Realtor we used to purchase our current home. I think that it is hard to really know what you want when you are looking for a mountain house and Sarah really helped us through building that understanding to the point where we really nailed down the things that were really important to us. Sarah was able to hold it all together for keeping us in track and also the other side of the deal in line.
