The Slifer Smith & Frampton Foundation

Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate has been an active supporter of a variety of community organizations in Summit County for many years. We recognize that investing in our community is a fundamental part of what makes Summit County a great place to live. In order to increase our giving capabilities and outreach, the Slifer Smith & Frampton Foundation was established in 2015 and has been growing our impact ever since. We are proud to support many of the amazing local charities in our community that foster education, youth, arts, athletics, environmental stewardship, and make our mountain towns the very best place to live!

Annual Grant Cycle

The SSF Foundation’s grant and sponsorship application process is once per calendar year. Each fall the grant application cycle opens for consideration for the following fiscal year. All organizations on our contact list are notified via email when the grant application becomes available. Learn more about the grant cycle and how to qualify for funds.

Employee Giving: Give Local Club

Giving back is very much part of the culture at Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate. Each year the SSF Foundation challenges brokers and staff to raise $25,000 internally, and strives for 100% participation from our team members. Donations raised by the Give Local Club are used to support local Summit County charitable organizations.

Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate brokers and staff enjoy giving back by volunteering in our community. Recently they've devoted time to projects such as participating in a trail building day, serving food at community dinners, and getting local youth outside to enjoy the great outdoors!

Here is a sampling of what some of our charities are saying:

Slifer, Smith & Frampton Real Estate, whether it is through their "Match Madness" benefits or their Foundation grants, are helping local non-profits continue their programs with their generosity. Their application process is easy and the results are something we really appreciate and the funds will be used to help many needy animals in our community. L.A.P.S. says thanks and gives all of you a 4Paw Salute and a 5 star rating!

We love partnering with the SSF Foundation and so appreciate the funding provided for our experiential education programs at Blue River Horse Center. This gift provides scholarships to kids who otherwise could not afford to participate in our Leadership Awareness with Horses Program!

John Longhill - Executive Director, Blue River Horse Center

The SSF Foundation has supported two of our key programs. Without the support of the SSF Foundation and other community members like them, we would not be able to provide these programs to public school students and teachers of Summit County. First, the SSF Foundation supports the Eileen Finkel Innovative Teaching Awards which provides teachers funding to implement innovative and creative projects including a poetry slam competition, drones for photography class, and interactive read aloud electronic books. SSF Foundation supports another key program, Summit Books for Kids, which increases access to books for students who do not have the support or means to purchase them. This program helps these students develop into engaged and lifelong readers. We are so grateful for the SSF Foundation’s support—they are helping improve the education of every public school student in Summit County.

Bonnie Ward, Vice Chairman, Education Foundation of the Summit

We are so grateful to have the Slifer Smith & Frampton Foundation in our community to support the hard work of our local non-profit organizations. The Slifer Smith & Frampton Foundation is comprised of longtime locals who are eager to acknowledge the importance of our work in early learning and are willing to support the programs and events that we offer to remain sustainable and give back to our community at large.
