The Biggest Luxury Interior Design Trends Around The World

Demand has soared for unique home decor, everything from a custom-made sofa to a hand-loomed, antique rug. A growing desire for bespoke furnishings came up time and again in our recent interviews with more than a dozen interior designers from Stockholm to Singapore. What’s interesting is that the mass trend results in very different aesthetics as the local artisans, traditional crafts and native materials inform high-end interiors. For instance, designers based in Mexico City are filling homes with black clay, blue ceramics and hand-hammered copper, while sleek custom-made light fixtures are a focus in places like Paris and the Hamptons.

Colorado skier visits down slightly in 2024-2025 season, despite visitation being up overall in the US

During the 24/25 season, the U.S. logged 61.5 million skier visits — the second-highest on record — and up slightly from the 23/24 season, when the country saw an estimated 60.5 million skier visits. Most years, Colorado accounts for just less than one-quarter of all skier visits in the U.S. That continued during the 23/24 season, with Colorado accounting for about 22% of all skier visits in the country.

“In a chaotic world, skiing remains a meaningful touchstone for so many,” Colorado Ski Country USA President and Chief Executive Officer Melanie Mills said. “Colorado’s ski areas welcome skiers and snowboarders from around the state, the country and the world to escape to our slopes and enjoy our genuine Colorado hospitality.”
