Where were you on December 5th? If it happened to be running down the streets of Breckenridge in full Santa attire with hundreds of over Christmas enthusiasts then you were a part of what makes Breckenridge one of the Best Christmas Towns of Colorado.
Mountain Living Magazine named this year’s top Colorado towns to visit for the holidays in a recent article by Heidi Kerr-Schlaefer (The Best Christmas Towns of Colorado).
“One of the most beautiful Christmas towns in Colorado is Breckenridge. With their Victorian light posts and historic homes, this town is postcard-perfect during the holidays. Carolers roam the streets throughout the season, and horse and carriages decked out for Christmas are always available to give rides.
Perhaps the most whimsical way Breckenridge celebrates the holidays is with the Race of The Santas, scheduled for December 5. Hundreds of folks dressed as St. Nicklaus hit the streets of downtown Breckenridge to run a 5K race. That weekend is also kick-off to the holidays in Breckenridge with a handmade art market and other delights on the calendar.”
